As part of Science Week we travelled to Armagh Planetarium to learn more about our planet and the solar system. The children listened to and viewed the exhibition before working in small groups to make their own rocket. Once the rockets were all constructed they moved outside to launch! Each pair of children got to blast their rocket off into the sky! The daybwas finished by watching the, Perfect Little Planet – in the dome. We followed a family of friendly aliens on their quest to find a perfect planet in our own solar system on which to have an extended vacation, visiting some moons and even our own sun.
The children had a fantastic day and enjoyed getting to go on a whole school trip again!
