We hope you all have enjoyed your Summer break. In June we said farewell to Eoghan, Peter, Patrick, Ali, Emmett, Paddy-Joe, Aoife, Aaron, Shane, Caoileann and Yasmin. We wish them all the best in their new schools. For Artur, Joe, Cahir, Pauric, Caolan, Keeva, Clodagh and Grace it is their last year here at St Brigid’s and we hope it is an enjoyable one.
We extend a warm welcome to our Year 1 pupils; Ruairi, Isaac, Conan, Annie, Brona, Caitlin, Cian and Caleb and hope that they will have an enjoyable and rewarding year ahead.
The partnership between home and school is vital and we always encourage parents/carers to play an active role in their child’s education. If your child has any problems ‘settling in’ or at any time during the school year, please contact the office to arrange an appointment with the teacher. We value the interest of you, our parents and trust that we can rely on your support for the coming year.

As a school, staff do understand and recognise that there may be times when parents need to talk to their child’s teacher or myself regarding school issues. As it can be very difficult at times for teachers to meet with parents while at the same time teach a class of pupils, I would appreciate it, if parents could make an appointment to meet with their child’s teacher, myself or the school secretary. This will ensure that your child’s teacher and/or myself are able to spend the appropriate time with yourselves to listen and discuss concerns. In the interest of Child Protection please DO NOT enter classrooms.
