The school travelled to Belfast Zoo on Friday the 22nd June. The children had a fantastic day learning all about the basic needs of animals: shelter, food, water and discovered the diversity of homes and habitats that animals have become adapted to. The children discovered the variety of animal homes and habitats and how the animals adapted to live in those habitats by camouflage, hibernation and migration. Habitat loss, destruction and conservation of local habitats was also discussed.
The sun shone all day and was a perfect day to round of a very successful year at St.Brigid's.
