In conjunction with our cluster schools, Year 6/7 were delighted to welcome Declan Carville to our school. Declan is a children's author from Northern Ireland with 12 published books to his name. Declan has been working in partnership with EA AmmA Centre to offer immersive storytelling and creative writing workshops for primary schools across Northern Ireland. During this workshop, Declan worked with Year 6 / 7 on a range of themes that are discretely relate to transition. Transitioning from primary school to post-primary is a daunting time for many young people and we were delighted to have him here to support our children.
