Ballinamullan hosted The Donnelly Cup on Friday 21st June 2024. Once again, this Annual Primary Schools’ tournament involved the schools in the Cappagh Parish competing for silverware. This year’s event saw teams from Christ the King, ourselves St Brigid’s Mountfield, St Eugene’s Tircur, Gaelscoil na gCrann, St Ronan’s Recarson along with St Mary’s Killyclogher.
The team arrived early and the children started warming up for the battles ahead. The teacher and coaches give last minutes instructions to the players and decisions were made whether to go for the High Press, Blanket Defence or Concede the Kick-out!
The group stages were all competitive and the skill level high as boys and girls showcased their talents. Well done to all the children who put in their best efforts.
