We have recently been notified of our successful application to achieve SEL Worldwide® Model School status. This award is in recognition of our whole school approach to the PATHS® Programme and our continuing commitment in prioritising children’s social and emotional learning throughout the school. We hosted some visitors from Barnardo’s who came to chat to us about our school and hear more about the programme. We will be receiving our special award later this academic year in a celebration alongside the other schools who were successful.
Mairead Ewart, UK Programme Manager at Barnardo’s said: “We are delighted to visit the school and look forward to presenting the SEL Worldwide® Model School award to the whole-school community in St. Brigid’s Primary School, in recognition of their dedication and enthusiasm to Social Emotional learning and the PATHS® Programme for Schools (UK & NI Version).
