Whole School Assembly
This week Catholic Schools’ Week focused on the theme of ‘Celebrating Our Catholic Schools’. Within our school - St. Brigid’s,- there is an inclusive, welcoming and vibrant ethos. We work towards helping each child no matter what their background, ethnicity or belief to reach their full potential academically, spiritually and socially. This year’s theme was a reminder that we should celebrate the wonderful work that we do as a school and that God calls us to use our gifts and talents. Today, our whole school assembly showcased these talents in the form of drama, recitation of poetry, singing and playing the tin whistle. Mrs Tracey’s P1/2 class presented a Grandparents’ Assembly, Miss Garry’s P3/4 class dramatized the story of St. Brigid, while Miss Mc Glinchey’s P5/6/7 pupils celebrated our Catholic School.
A huge crowd of parents, grandparents and local community members attended despite the heavy snow fall, highlighting that they are proud of their Catholic school and the talents of their children and grandchildren. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and an invitation is extended to all for our ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic Coffee Morning’ on Sunday 3rd February following 10am Mass in Mountfield.
